The opal displays a beautiful amount of fire and complements the setting perfectly. The piece itself is very heavyweight and substantial in size, crafted entirely from sterling silver. The included chain is a simple, lightweight box chain. It does not feel sturdy enough to support the pendant elegantly, so I would recommend swapping it for a better chain if possible. Overall, I am completely thrilled with this purchase. It arrived nicely packaged, with the chain and pendant in two separate bags inside the box. If you plan to gift it, you might consider assembling it first for display. That would also make it easy to attach a nicer chain.

The chain is fine; its presence or absence wouldn't fundamentally change the piece, as the pendant is the significant feature. It is simply beautiful, with a stunning mother of pearl element. It pairs wonderfully with the labradorite and cubic zirconia, and it's excellent that the setting is 925 sterling silver. If tarnishing occurs, simply cleaning it with a jewelry cloth will restore its shine. Personally, I find it somewhat expensive for what it is, though I admit I know little about jewelry craftsmanship and the production costs involved. For me, it would be more appealing at half the current price. However, it does incorporate a gemstone and mother of pearl inlay, which likely increases its value. Overall, it is a beautiful pendant necklace that I definitely recommend. The quality is clearly high, with evident attention to detail in its making. Five stars.
