I really like this design at first glance it has a tribal feel but it is actually just subtle scrollwork. I removed one star from my rating due to the necklace chain which is extremely delicate. This is fine for many but the size and style of the pendant caught my eye as something suitable for a man to wear without being overly bold. It makes a great statement piece among friends and people you spend time with. From a short distance the pattern reminds me of designs from my Norwegian background. Regarding it being a Mermaid Tail Pendant I will have to make that comparison the next time I see a mermaid and will update my review then. So back to that delicate chain matter. I gave it to my wife to pair with a whale fluke pendant she owns. I bought a sterling silver 2 mm wide snake chain shown in my photo and it fits through the bail perfectly. A quick tip if you find a wheat link chain of similar width that would be even better as it avoids any risk of kinking. To summarize this is a great purchase. It looks good. It does not seem like it will tarnish soon. Whale made insert a small chuckle here. It is unique. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested.
