However, it is stressful not knowing for sure, as I never found that portion. All I know is I removed it for a shower and placed it on my desk. The next time I saw it, I was holding a broken chain and the metal compass face plate alone. This is mostly anecdotal, but it feels worth mentioning since I never found the crystal piece. I searched the vacuum thoroughly—a Shark model with a canister that catches larger items—and even checked the waste canister, but there were no blue crystal fragments. If it is not there, it means the necklace may be more vulnerable to damage than I initially thought, possibly torn up by my pets. So I would recommend this piece, but if you have small children or pets in the house, perhaps watch it more closely than I did. The chain is beautifully crafted in a braided metal style, thin enough to be elegant yet thick and strong enough to feel sturdy and resist tangling. The crystal is a stunning mix of blue shades, resembling layered pieces of cut glass that shine vibrantly in the light.
