As a nurse, I truly appreciate the stethoscope design on this necklace. It is listed as a crystal piece, though I am unsure if it is genuine crystal or glass. The stone is described as amethyst, but its color is not the classic deep purple of real amethyst. Instead, it is a lighter, iridescent shade of purple. It is quite pretty, just not authentic amethyst. The chain itself is nice, measuring 17 and a half inches with a two-inch extender, though the lobster clasp is rather small. A lovely detail is the tiny hearts cut out on the back of the pendant. Overall, while the necklace is attractive, I personally feel its current price of fifty-five dollars is too high.
